HONG KONG FENGQI STORYWAVE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY LIMITED (香港風起映海數字科技有限公司, "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains how the StoryWave short-drama platform at drama.storywave.hk collects, uses and protects your personal data, in compliance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
1. Data We Collect
- When you sign in with Google: we receive your email address, name, profile-picture URL and Google account identifier from Google, which we use to create and recognise your account. We never receive your Google password and do not access your Gmail, contacts or Drive.
- When you register with an email address (only where offered): your email address and a hashed password.
- Usage data: unlocked episodes, watch progress, point transactions, order history and language preference.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and access time, kept in server logs for security and debugging.
2. Purposes
To provide and maintain the service (sign-in, unlocking, resume playback, order processing); to send emails directly related to your orders or account (such as payment links); to prevent abuse and keep the service secure; and to improve content and features. We do not send marketing emails unless you separately opt in.
3. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, remember your language and protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only: (a) with Google, to the extent needed to authenticate you when you sign in with Google, under Google's terms and privacy policy; (b) once online payment is enabled, the order number and amount needed to process payment with a licensed payment institution; and (c) where required by law or to protect the rights of the company and its users.
5. Storage and Security
Data is stored on servers located in Hong Kong and transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; video playback URLs are short-lived signed URLs. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access.
6. Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. After you delete your account we delete or anonymise personal data within 30 days, except transaction records we must keep by law (generally seven years).
7. Your Rights
You may access and correct the personal data we hold about you and request deletion of your account by emailing info@storywave.hk. We respond within 40 days.
8. Children
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we have collected a child's data we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes
Updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a new date; material changes will be announced on the Platform.
